This was my last day with the harp on loan to me. I miss it. If any one wants to give me one for my birthday I will gladly accept. The song “Gold Green” is based on a combination of two Robert Frost poems. Maybe you can figure out which two. Thanks Heidi Harris for recording this for me. <3 – pamela
I’m getting a lot of friend love this week first with the fanfarlo remix coming out and now Bermuda Bonnie has decided to release a single and put me on the cover. Listen to the lyrics, she says I’m Reta. And sings about misreading signals and sometimes not saying anything at all.
I met Fanfarlo a few years ago when they were recording Reservoir. Back then I lived in a huge loft that was known for throwing parties and hosting touring bands. They heard about the place through our mutual friend Alex Somers whose then project Parachutes had stayed with me during their tour with Sigur Ros. So when Fanfarlo first showed up at my door I had never met any of them or heard their music. I just knew they were friends of a friend and needed a place to stay. But now I can’t get enough of their music. We’ve become better and better friends, I’ve played a few times with them and tagged along for adventures on tour. So we were just catching up when Cathy asked me if I wanted to do a remix. So of course I said yes. And here it is. Shout out to Alec Fellman who helped me with the final mixes. There are a few other versions I created as well which might slip out.
Teletextile’s new album ‘Glass’ come out in Europe Oct 14th. Teletextile European Tour TBA.
