Lyrics - What if I / What if You

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

glitter is for good

These two songs have the same lyrics.  Here they are. - pamela

What if I / What if You - by Pamela Martinez

What if I’m before my time?
Fanatical, but out of place
Or maybe I’m a little late
Jealous of a past world’s fate

And some could say
You can choose your space
But I can’t escape this time, this age

No I can’t escape, no.

What if you’re from the ancient race?
And you’ve come to guide us back to grace
And maybe I’m your little spark,
Set to blaze the darkest parts

Should I go where no man has been?
Or should I retrace the steps of common women?

Because we can’t escape, no.
Like I can’t escape, no.

See you there with hearts out,

- Pamela

p.s. recording is still going well slow and steady. Al Carlson, teletextile’s recording guru, says we still have 11 sessions of tracking for our first 4 song EP release. OMG Since I can’t send you any recordings you should just come out to the party and hear the songs live.

p.p.s do you like the flyer i made? I hand stitched it!

p.p.p.s my cat’s name is valentine because he is so lovable.
